A Back to School Safety video was issued by Dallas ISD to discuss measures being taken to assure parents. The Dallas ISD Calendar says students will start back on September 8, but principals, teachers, and staff are all short on answers about safety precautions.
This video may not help many parents. One safety assurance not included was masks being worn by the participants.
Back to school safety is one of the hottest topics of discussion right now as parents consider the best way to ensure their children’s safety and educational needs.
When it comes to back to school safety, one Arizona superintendent said “…it’s a fantasy. Kids will get sick, or worse. Family members will die. Teachers will die.” He continued “…feels like there’s a gun to my head.”
You will remember from the Dallas ISD Calendar that in the spring the district was slow to cancel a return to classes despite students testing positive for COVID19 and they are actively pushing re-registration now.
There are multiple Townview families concerned about how content will be delivered in the fall. A Facebook group has been formed to help interested parents utilize Learning Pods – off campus groups of parents who work together to make sure their children are educated.
