Is Hybrid learning coming to Dallas Independent School District? Maybe sooner than expected.
Per the approved Dallas ISD Calendar, students would have the option to return October 5, but it now appears students may only have the option of attending part time using a district Hybrid model that will be on a school by school basis.
Dallas ISD has sent out a survey asking parents would their students return to campus and response rates varied widely – even within the Townview campus. The Townview Law campus for instance led campus schools with a 94% response rate. Meanwhile Townview Business did not even muster nine out of twenty responses totalling a 44.09% response rate.
Campus | Students | Response | On Campus Votes | On Campus Percent | Off Campus Votes | Off Campus Percent |
Business | 499 | 44.09% | 83 | 37.73% | 137 | 62.27% |
Education | 242 | 79.75% | 66 | 34.20% | 127 | 65.80% |
Health | 511 | 72.80% | 170 | 45.70% | 202 | 54.30% |
Law | 467 | 94.00% | 171 | 38.95% | 268 | 61.05% |
SEM | 519 | 75.95% | 164 | 41.62% | 230 | 58.38% |
TAG | 464 | 83.19% | 167 | 43.26% | 219 | 56.74% |
There appears to be overwhelming support to continuing off campus learning throughout Townview as a whole with only the Health campus nearly evenly divided over return to school.
Thank you to all the parents who completed their return to school surveys.
