First Nine Weeks COVID19

The first nine weeks COVID19 numbers for Dallas ISD are out and they are not positive.

Between the first day back, October 5, 2020, and November 9, 2020, Dallas ISD is reporting an eighteen fold increase in COVID19 cases. This rise is occuring in all areas: central staff, school staff, and students. These numbers seem to match Dallas County at large which recently reported 1500 cases in a single day.

First Nine Weeks COVID19

If Dallas ISD were to continue this type of meteoric rise in cases over a comprobable time during the Dallas ISD Calendar second nine weeks we would be looking at more than 13,000 cases in Dallas ISD hallways by the end of the second nine weeks.

Dallas ISD has a COVID19 tracking dashboard for the public to see cases at facilities across Dallas ISD. this tracking dashboard is updated at end of day each business day that Dallas ISD is operational.

Parents and community members across the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex can use these resources to track cases in Dallas and for comparison to other large school districts.
